Collect
Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way into your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Godly compassion (Mark 7:24-37)
Jesus comes to Lebanon! Today's Gospel reading centers on two stories of healing and a whole lot of compassion. Jesus is trying to keep a low profile in order to teach his disciples and not draw opposition, but can’t refuse to wonderfully and miraculously change peoples lives when people seek him out. In both stories
family and friends go to Jesus on another’s behalf. This is an encouraging
reminder to us all to not grow weary of doing good when it appears there is no hope! Let us keep brining the brokenness around us to Jesus and be persistent in prayer and faith that he can and does bring his Kingdom into the here and now. The crowd were overwhelmed with amazement at the new life Jesus brought their friend,  “He has done everything well,” they said - Let us also praise Him who has done everything well.

Please stay after the service for refreshments - All welcome!

The Prison Ministry team is asking for donations of water for the women in prison.
If anyone would like to cook for women prisoners please see Elma or Ruth.
