No Service at All Saints Tomorrow

Because of the funeral of ex-minister Mohammad Chatah in Downtown tomorrow, with massive security arrangements and thousands attending, there will be no service at All Saints. Instead we will have two prayer services in the 2 following locations:

HAMRA: at 11:00am in NEST Small Chapel.

NEST (The Near East School of Theology) is on Souraty Street. Directions: from Bliss Street take first left after AUB Main Gate/MacDonalds (up Jeanne d'Arc Street), then take 2nd left onto Souraty Street - NEST is the 2nd building on the right. The service will be lead by Peter and Patty Ford.

MANSOURIEH: at 11:00m in ABTS Chapel - see map below.

Let us keep praying for the Good News of Christmas to permeate this world, wherever we are. If you are at a church in another country tomorrow, please ask the pastor to pray for Lebanon during the service, and give greetings from All Saints Beirut.

John 1:5: "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it."

Daylight Saving finishes...

...this Saturday night. Don't forget to put your clocks back one hour, and enjoy the extra hour's sleep :)

Bring-and-Share Lunch and Marathon

On Sunday, 3rd Nov, we will be having a bring-and-share lunch following the service. Bring a dish from your home country and celebrate All Saints Day with us. All welcome!

On Sunday, 10th November, the roads around the church will be closed for the Beirut Marathon so there will be no morning service. Instead, we will be holding a service at 6:00pm.

Sunday, 26th May

Dear saints,
As some might have heard, there is a 10K Women’s Marathon around All Saints this Sunday – CHEERS to the ladies!
Thankfully, the Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) has assured me that we can still have access to church for the 11:15 service – but it will not be possible to have access for the 8:00 service, which is cancelled.
ACCESS TO ALL SAINTS FOR THE 11:15 service is through the Phoenicia Tunnel:
Wherever you are coming from by car, you need to make your way to the “Ring Road”  (“Foaad Chehab Avenue” on Google Maps – see link at end) and through the “Phoenicia Tunnel” to get to the Monroe Hotel, where there is a BMAbarrier. Tell the attendants that you are going to All Saints’ Church and they will let you in, as agreed with Mr Waseem Terro of BMA who will have informed them (in case you need it, here is his number: 03 123 790).
COMING FROM THE NORTH: Do not go straight into Downtown. At the beginning of the Charles Helou bridge take the exit right (at the statue of “The Lebanese Emigrant”) down to the Port Road. At the main intersection before Martyrs’ Square take a left up to the “Ring Road” (past “Paul” cafĂ©) - turn right onto the “Ring Road” and through the “Phoenicia Tunnel” (as above).

COMING FROM HAMRA: Make your way to the Ring Road via Spears Road above Hamra.
COMING FROM THE SOUTHERN HIGHWAY: Do the usual thing!  :O)
Safe travels! We gather this Sunday to celebrate “Trinity Sunday”!
in His eternal love,
Nabil

Change of service time/No 8am service on the 28th.

To allow for a smoother transition between the Arabic and English services, the latter is now starting at 11.15am instead of 11:00am until further notice.

As Reverend Nabil will be outside Lebanon on the 28th April, the 8am service on that day has been cancelled.
