HOSANNA TO THE SON OF DAVID!! SAVE US!!
HAPPY PALM SUNDAY!
Zechariah 9:9-10 Matt 21:1-17
Welcome to this Palm Sunday celebration on this last Sunday of the month All Age Service, at the start of Holy Week.

PALM SUNDAY: A TALE OF TWO CITIES, TWO KINGS AND TWO DONKEYS!!
The triumphant entry into Jerusalem by Jesus on that first Palm Sunday was a joyful and chaotic occasion! Jesus fulfills Zechariah's vision of a paradoxically victorious yet humble king entering the Holy City. This is the Servant King who will also fulfill the "HOSANNA/SAVE US!" prayer of the people (and children) who greet him, as he travels on to the cross and the resurrection in the coming Holy Week. In the midst of all this, there are two donkeys with tales!

Holy Habits (4): CELEBRATION
On this 5th and last Sunday in Lent we all look at the "Holy Habit" of Celebration, a joyful personal and corporate discipline. We will also celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation, which falls on the 25th of March. In Lebanon, and uniquely worldwide, this feast is the first Christian/Moslem national holiday. The teenage Mary's song, "The Magnificat", is a beautiful celebration of the character of God, His past  works and the promises of His word. Mary also gives us the best response to cooperating with God in His rescue mission to the world: receiving His word and His Spirit that Christ may be born in her. We too are invited to celebrate God and receive His word and His Spirit, that we may be re-born in Christ, and grow to full maturity in Him as each plays their part in God's rescue mission.
March 25, 8pm: Christian/Moslem celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation at the Garden of Forgiveness, at the Mary chapel behind the Greek Orthodox Cathdral (Downtown).

Welcome to our third service of the month; Informal Communion. Young Church, Youth Group and their teachers will remain with us for communion and then head downstairs to the Church Hall.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple isn’t it? And yet today’s reading from John shows Nicodemus (an intelligent Pharisee who knew his Bible) thrown into confusion when Jesus tells him he must be born again to see the Kingdom of heaven. Born again?! Jesus then tells Nicodemus the story where, in the desert, the people sinned against God and Moses raised up a serpent on a pole and those who looked at it were healed, so the same must happen to Jesus that everyone who believes may have eternal life. One can sense Nicodemus’ mind boggling. We all know probably the most famous scripture ever from John 3:16, ‘for God so loved the world that he...’. The Gospel is pure grace, in faith we need only simply believe what Jesus did for us and receive. But, as Jesus told Nicodemus, to ‘believe’ is linked to being born again, born by water and of the Spirit. This refers to the baptism of John (repentance) and spiritual rebirth as the Holy Spirit brings inner transformation of a sin hardened heart. Today we will explore what Jesus did for us on the cross and what he wants to do in us by his Spirit as we explore this strange Old Testament story and why it is placed in the lectionary at Lent.
After the Service today Mini  Bazaar  downstairs: Joelle’s Jewellery and other crafts, perfect gifts!

Deuteronomy 10:12-22 Luke 17:11-19

Welcome to our  second Sunday of the month Worship and Word Service. Youth Group and Young Church start in church and leave for their groups after the first set of songs and celebration of birthdays.
Theme Holy Habits (4) - Service
We welcome as our preacher today Dr Andrew Smith, Director of Interfaith Relations for the Bishop of Birmingham, who is in Lebanon for the launch of an inter-faith youth initiative (The Feast). Acts of service can easily be undertaken grudgingly as a duty to be endured. However, service as a spiritual discipline springs from God's love for us and our love for those around us. In Deuteronomy God commands the Israelites to love the foreigner who lives amongst them, a foreshadowing of the Great Commandment to love our neighbour as ourselves. In the Gospel of Luke we see Jesus encounter foreigners and demonstrate to his disciples, and therefore to us too, what practical, unconditional love looks like when translated into acts of practical service.

Giving
All Saint’s has a BIG heart to see the goodness of God’s Kingdom break through in this city and Lebanon. We work hard to bless those in our own congregation and in the wider community all of which has associated running costs. If you regard yourself to be a member of All Saint’s we ask you to consider giving regularly to work with us in support our Church.Pledge forms are also available to assist us in planning our budget for the year ahead. God Bless you!
