Marathon Sunday Open Air Gathering

There was a cloud of witnesses, cheering on the runners at the Beirut International Marathon on Sunday November 18, 2007. The faithful gathered on the corniche facing All Saints' church to encourage and support those who were running the race, with the timely reminder to "run the race with perserverance, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith"

Visit by Archbishop Rowan Williams

All Saints' International Congregation was very happy to be a part of a visit to Lebanon by the Archbishop Rowan Williams. He and his delegation were able to visit leaders from all the religious communities, expressing his support for Lebanon, and in particular for the Christians. He undertook this visit with a desire to gain some personal understanding of the particular situation in Lebanon. As part of his visit to All Saints', Archbishop Williams spoke at a special service and took part in laying the corner stone and a ground breaking ceremony for our new bell tower.

Correction!!!!!

There will be no 8am BCP 1662 Holy Communion service next Sunday 25th as Rev. Nabil is away for the weekend. Everyone is still very welcome to the 10am prayer meeting in the church hall and at 11:00am we have our informal service of Morning Praise, led by Scott Johnson this month. Come and hear from Katie Porter, one of our Youth Group members who has recently returned from a year aboard the OM ship Doulos.

Beirut Marathon Sunday

Just in case you have not heard it at church, there will be NO SERVICE in the All Saints' Church this Sunday 18th November, due to the Beirut Marathon being held, and some roads to that part of the city being closed. If you are within walking distance of the church, you can join the cheer squad that will be gathered on the St George Corniche, facing All Saints' church at 11am, or if you are East Side of Beirut and can get to ABTS in Mansourieh, there will be an informal worship service held in the chapel there, also at 11am. The following Sunday 25th November will be our Morning Praise service in the church at 11:00am as usual, as well as the prayer meeting in the church hall at 10:00am, and the BCP 1662 Holy Communion service at 8:00am. If you require any more information or directions please feel free to call Rev. Nabil Shehadi on 03 281 388 or Lindy Masri on 03 258 603.
